FLIRT ROUND TWO - MUDGEERABA

SUNDAY AFTERNOON – MAY 12

RACE PRECINCT: HINTERLAND REGIONAL PARK, MUDGEERABA

RACE SCHEDULE:

3.00pm 2.4km – Wild Earth Orange Division: 5&U, 6/7, 8/9 M&F categories. One (1) loop of a 2.4km course.

4.05pm 4.5km – fisiocrem Purple Division: 10/11, 12/13 & Open M&F. One (1) loop of a 4.5km course.

3.45pm 9km – mygc Physio Blue Division: 14/15, 16/17 & Open M&F. Two (2) loops of the 4.5km course.

3.35pm 13.5km – FIXX Nutrition Green Division: Open Male & Female. Three (3) loops of a 4.5km course.

PRICING PERIODS

  • ‘Fast Starters’ entry price closes 11:59pm Sunday 7th April, 2024

  • ‘Mid Pack’ entry price closes 11:59pm Wednesday 1st May, 2024

  • ‘Late Dash’ entry prices ONLINE and open until race time on race day.

Athletes may choose to race ‘up’ a division (more than their standard championship distance); and will fall into the next most appropriate category e.g. 9yr old racing in fisiocrem Purple Division would fall into the 10/11 age group.

There will be:

  • One chance for race provided fluids on the 2.4k (Wild Earth Orange Division) course PLUS one chance for personal fluids when passing through the race precinct. Place your OWN bottle on table located on right of the course (or it can be handed to the runner). You will pass the aid station at 600m point of your run and through the race precinct after 1.7km. Water and FIXX are also available pre & post race.

  • One chance for race provided fluids on the 4.5k (fisiocrem Purple Division) course PLUS one chance for personal fluids when passing through the race precinct. Place your OWN bottle on table located on right of the course (or it can be handed to the runner). You will pass through the race precinct after 1.5km and the aid station at 3.5km point of your run and through the race precinct after 1.5km. Water and FIXX are also available pre & post race.

  • Two (2) chances for race provided fluids on the 9km course (mygc Physio Blue Division). You will pass the (same) aid station at 3.5km and 8km points of your run. Water and FIXX (sports drink) will be available but the event is CUPLESS - carry your own drinking vessel. There will also be three (3) chances for personal fluids when passing through the race precinct. Place your OWN bottle on table located on right of the course (or it can be handed to the runner). You will pass the race precinct at the 1.5km, 4.4km and 5.9km points of your run. Water and FIXX will also be available pre & post race.

  • Three (3) chances for race provided fluids on the 13.5km course (FIXX Nutritiion Green Division). You will pass the (same) aid station at 3.5km, 8km and 12.5km points of your run. Water and FIXX (sports drink) will be available but the event is CUPLESS - carry your own drinking vessel. There will also be five (5) chances for personal fluids when passing through the race precinct. Place your OWN bottle on table located on right of the course (or it can be handed to the runner). You will pass the race precinct at the 1.5km, 4.4km, 5.9km, 8.9km and 10.4km points of your run. Water and FIXX will also be available pre & post race.

The focus is on fun but racing is fun too and an important skill to develop so we will be awarding Flirt with Dirt:

  • ribbons for age placegetters (1-3rd) at each round for Wild Earth Orange Division

  • gifts for placegetters (1-3rd) in the fisiocrem Purple division,

  • gifts for placegetters (1-3rd) for 14/15, 16/17 & Open M&F in mygc Physio Blue Division

  • gifts for placegetters (1-3rd) for Open M&F in the FIXX Nutrition Green divisions at each round.

as well as lucky draw prizes!

We will be keeping a Run Series pointscore and will acknowledge our Series category winners with a $50 Wild Earth voucher.

Results will show the following age categories for adults; 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Male & Female in Purple, Blue and Green divisions & there will be a medal and gift for Series champions in these age brackets.

Come prepared for some fun; at each round we will have a entertainment so bring your marquees, picnic blankets and camp chairs and enjoy the afternoon!

The Park is still open to other users and we ask that you respect those who are also enjoying the facility. Have a good run, have some fun but please at all times, take care of this amazing natural resource as well as the plants, trees and creatures that call it home!

There will is a limited amount of parking at the venue, but ample streetside parking on Hardys Road and Bertana Drive. Do NOT park in neighbouring resident driveways.
